HOUSE PRICE growth increased to 11 percent in August from 10.5 percent in July, according to Nationwide’s most recent house price index. August marked the second largest monthly gain in 15 years after April’s 2.3 percent spike. Property experts are labelling the latest price spike both “stunning” and “extreme”.
