Jhené Aiko Goes ‘Slauson Hills Barbie’ In Leggy Minidress

Jhené Aiko has gone full Barbie doll and put a lyrical twist on her leggy and hot pink minidress. The Grammy-nominated artist made sure her Instagram followers got a full view of her killer pins in a recent share, one shared with her 13.3 million followers and coming captioned: "Slauson Hills Barbie."

'Slauson Hills Barbie'

Scroll for the photos. Aiko, who achieved critical acclaim with her Chilombo album, opened with an indoor selfie and in front of a mirror. Wearing the tiniest pink satin minidress, also going strapless and ruffled at the chest, the Los Angeles native struck a pose in snazzy, silver metallic booties, drawing attention to her long legs and rocking a high ponytail complete with a loose waves finish.

Posing by a semi-open door, Aiko bent one leg slightly, writing: "Slauson Hills Barbie."

"Slauson Hills" is a reference to the Slauson Avenue thoroughfare in L.A., but it’s likewise linked to the Slauson Hills Edition track the artist shares with Kurupt.

Anyone swiping then saw Aiko in the same dress, closer up, and wearing black-and-white polka-dot gloves, with further images bringing in the star’s friends for goofie selfies. Been Hustling A While

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Aiko mentioned being a mother to daughter Namiko Love.

"I started when I was 13," she said of her career, adding: "So it’s been 20 years, and I had my daughter when I was 20. When I had her, that was the pivotal moment of, “OK, I need to really take this seriously.” Or, I need to find another career path that guarantees a paycheck — a steady paycheck, so I can take care of me and her."

Industry Without 'Genuine' People

The star also made a mention of something well-documented in Hollywood – hit the City of Angels, you will meet fakery.

"In this industry, it’s hard to find people that are really genuine and find a genuine connection," Aiko continued, however noting positively: "I’ve been lucky to be blessed with that built-in group of people that are literally my family. No matter your career, they’re going to come into in some type of way and help out, because they’re family."
