NFL Rumors: Jerry Jones Made ‘Several Payments’ To Woman Who Filed A Paternity Lawsuit Against Him

Once again, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been in the spotlight for non-sports-related reasons. This time, the often-controversial business mogul is facing a paternity lawsuit from a 25-year-old woman claiming to be his daughter.

Now, one of his lifelong friends has stirred the pot with his recent statements.

Lawyer Confirms He Made Multiple Payments On Jones' Behalf

Lawyer Don Jack reached out to ESPN to confirm that he had made the woman and her mother several payments on behalf of Jerry Jones:

'"On numerous occasions I have made payments on behalf of Mr. Jones to Cindy and Alex Davis," Jack said in a statement. A longtime friend of Jones, Jack said he struck an agreement on Jones' behalf with Spencer Davis in 1995, paying her $ 375,000 and providing 'for monthly payments for child support which ultimately totaled over $ 2 million,'" reported Don Vatta Jr. of ESPN.He Won't Say If The Woman Is Jones' Daughter

Jack didn't want to get into details or confirm whether the woman was Jones' daughter or not. Per the lawyer, it's just terminology and doesn't necessarily mean that's true:

"'I used the term child support because that's what the agreement calls it.' Asked if the 'child support' payments indicate that Jones is Davis' father, Jack paused for five seconds before saying, 'I am not going to answer that one. My statement speaks for itself,'" adds the report. The Alleged Daughter Wants $ 20 Million

According to the lawyer, the woman asked for 'Dak or Zeke' money to make this all go away:

"In that meeting, Alex read to me a personal letter she had drafted to Jerry Jones in which she expressed her dissatisfaction with what she had received and sought $ 20 million," Jack said, per ESPN. "She stated that if that amount was paid, she would not bother Mr. Jones again and would keep their relationship confidential."Her Lawyer Denies Those Claims

The plaintiff, on the other hand, stated that the women never asked for money and only wanted to establish parentage:

"It is absolutely false — and they know it — that I ever demanded money on behalf of Alex," the women's layer said. "They said, 'What does she want?' And I said she wants to establish parentage, and Jerry can do it cooperatively or not."

Jones is used to being in the spotlight and isn't likely to share comments on this matter any time soon, especially with the Cowboys in the middle of the offseason.
