Melissa Gorga and Ramona Singer reconnected with one another in New York City earlier this week, months after filming the debut season of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip in Turks and Caicos.
On Instagram on Monday, November 1, the Real Housewives of New York City cast member shared a photo of the two of the posing on a Big Apple sidewalk as she wore a beige coat and leopard-print shirt and the Real Housewives of New Jersey star wore a white vest.
Fans Had Mixed Emotions
Following the sharing of the post, Singer was met with a comment from her co-star and friend.
"Love spending time with you! You made me laugh all afternoon!" Gorga exclaimed, prompting Singer to respond with a series of red heart emoji.
She was then met with a slew of fans, many of whom didn’t enjoy the mashup.
"No just no," one person said.
Another told Gorga to "get better friends"
While the majority of the reactions to this friendship were negative, one woman was happy to see Gorga and Singer together and said, "My faves! this pic makes me so happy."
Not Everyone Gets Along With Singer
Weeks ago, while discussing The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, Gorga admitted that Singer isn’t always well-liked.
“Ramona is just, she’s her own being,” Melissa told E! News. “She makes me laugh. I personally love her, but, you know, she tends to push buttons sometimes."
Continuing on about the show, Gorga added, "It’s just a lot of big personalities. Obviously they picked big personalities from all the different cities all together on yachts, on jets, on planes… It’s just, it’s crazy. It really is. It’s pee-your-pants funny."
Dolores Catania Detests Ramona Singer
Following a series of encounters with Singer, who has been accused of acting degrading to certain people, Dolores Catania went off on her.
"Ramona’s mean to people," she told Life & Style. "She’s rude. She acts like she doesn’t know anyone, even if she knows them. Listen, I meet a lot of people. I don’t always remember who I’ve met when they come up to me. If someone asks me to take a picture, you f-cking take a picture because this is your f-cking job and without those people, you don’t have a job, Ramona. You’re nobody, a nothing."
Margaret Josephs Reaction
During a March 2020 episode of the Out in the Wild podcast, via Reality Blurb, Gorga’s Real Housewives of New Jersey cast mate, Margaret Josephs, weighed in on the friendship between Gorga and Singer, suggesting that Singer is more invested in the relationship than Gorga.
“Ramona loves her because she’s gorgeous and fun and fabulous and she’s young. They’re genuinely friends [but] I think Ramona loves Melissa more than Melissa loves Ramona,” she suspected.
