Line of Duty’s AC-12 reflects the real anti-corruption squad set up by police chief Robert Mark in 1971 – A10. This was established to take down corrupt networks of officers. Sabotaged by bent coppers, resented and insulted, the fictional and real-life squads needed dedication and fortitude to do a job that exacted a huge personal toll.
