WADA to launch independent review into Chinese doping case

Chinese women's swimmers, wearing white and red zippered tops and pants, pose with their gold medals after setting a world record in the 4x200-metre event at the Tokyo Olympics on July 29, 2021.

The under-fire World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) said on Thursday it would launch an independent review over its handling of a case that allowed 23 Chinese swimmers who tested positive for a banned substance to avoid punishment.
